To make the best use of the heat that is created by burning wood, Altech has developed a unique exhaust system. The flue gases are captured and channelled through exhaust ducts that are more than two metres long in the basic model.

This gives the flue gases more time to transfer their heat to the soapstone.A second aspect of this technology is the independent regulation of primary and secondary air supply which ensures optimum combustion. This dramatically increases the stove’s efficiency and reduces emissions to a minimum. What’s more, the stove burns itself clean because the soot particles are almost entirely burnt up during the secondary combustion phase.

This exhaust system is used in the Eclips.
